FUN FACT: Here at Bloedel Reserve you will find a few different species of Ginger Lily, each with spectacular flower displays of dense elliptical racemes in late summer. The genus name Hedychium was derived from two Greek words, hedys meaning “sweet” and chios meaning “snow”. Not only will this beautiful plant bring seasonal interest to your garden in October, but it is also deer resistant!
