Photography Sessions

When a Photography Reservation Is Required

A reservation is required for photography, including:

• All posed or portrait photography that is not secondary to the visit
• Engagements and proposals
• Family, maternity, and senior portraits
• Wedding and anniversary photography
• Any session with a designated photographer
• Use of tripods, lighting, or other professional equipment

Photography is limited to outdoor areas only.

Reserve Guidelines

To help preserve the guest experience and natural landscape:

• Drone use is not permitted
• Photography is outdoor only
• Stay on designated paths
• No outside plants, including bouquets or flower petals
• No props or installations
• No outfit changes
• Parking is in the main lot only

Bloedel Reserve staff may adjust or limit photography activity as needed to protect the gardens and guest experience.

Photography Session Overview

• 90-minute outdoor photography session
• Available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays
• Start times: 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 3:00 PM
• Optional 30-minute extension: $50 (max 2 hours total)
• Sessions must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance

Session Fees

• 1–4 guests: $250
• 5–10 guests: $325

General admission is required for all guests. Each photography permit covers entrance for one photographer only.

After Booking

After reserving your session, you will receive an email with instructions for the next steps, including booking admission and signing our photo policy.
