FUN FACT: Here at the Reserve you will find a few different species of ginger lilies, each with spectacular, late-summer flower displays of dense elliptical racemes. The genus name Hedychium was derived from two Greek words, hedys meaning “sweet” and chios meaning “snow.” Not only will this unique plant bring seasonal interest to your garden in October, but it is also deer resistant!
