Here at Bloedel Reserve, we want to highlight and celebrate the inspiration and skill that Fujitaro Kubota and Dr. Koichi Kawana brought to the creation of the Japanese Garden and the Sand and Stone Garden respectively. It is also worth noting that Paul Hayden Kirk’s Japanese Guest House artfully blends elements of both Japanese and Indigenous Pacific NW architectural design to create a unique and elegant space.

Bloedel Reserve is the result of many, many hands and minds from all around the globe who, over the years, have contributed to its beauty and originality. And we are all the better for it.
