The Japanese Guest House

Japanese Guest House meets Northwest Coast Native American Longhouse in this eclectic structure designed by architect Paul Kirk, which was once a guest house with a pool for the Bloedel family. Though the building is not open to the public, you are welcome to walk around the porch overlooking the award-winning Japanese Garden, and to contemplate the Japanese Sand & Stone Garden before heading down the stone pathway toward the Moss Garden.

A gentle reminder to visitors: Please do not touch or walk on the Sand & Stone Garden.
