Plant of the Month

November’s Plant of the Month

LATIN NAME: Chrysanthemum ‘Snow Dome’

COMMON NAME: Snow Dome Chrysanthemum

FAMILY: Asteraceae

TYPE: Herbaceous perennial

ORIGIN: East Asia

GARDEN USES: Late season bloom, Border plant

LOCATION AT THE RESERVE: Arrival Garden

FUN FACT: This wonderful cut leaf, compact mum that doesn’t require pinching or pruning, is a recent addition to the Arrival Garden and has quickly become one of our staff favorites! While remaining a dense mound, a sea of small white flowers with yellow buttons put on quite the show in the fall, adding late seasonal interest to any garden.
