Fun Fact:  This cultivar is known for its deep, pink-red flowers in spring, followed by dark blue berries in summer. This early bloomer is an excellent nectar source for hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. The berries are consumed by birds and small mammals making this a wonderful plant for any native woodland garden.
