Join us on Sunday, September 17, 8 AM-6 PM

Member Days offer our members special opportunities to experience the Reserve through tours, workshops, and fun for all-ages–all in one day. You can look forward to forest bathing, a moss identification class, story time for kids, and of course, learning more about plants!

General Admission begins at 10 AM; Last entry of the day is 4:30 PM

To sign up for a workshop, be sure to sign in with your member credentials to access both general timed ticketing and workshop links. If the workshop of your choice is SOLD OUT, please sign up for the waitlist. All other offerings are included in your timed ticket.

8 AM Birdwatching in the Buxton Bird Marsh with Volunteer, Mark Salvadalena; Meet at the Sheep Sheds for your walk–SOLD OUT

8:30-11 AM Guided Forest Bathing walk led by Tina Frei, certified Forest Therapy Guide, nature-connection coach and co-founder of Cascadia Forest Therapy; Meet at the Arrival Garden for your walk–SOLD OUT

10-10:45 AM Yoga for All-Levels with certified yoga teacher and Communications Manager, Etta Lilienthal; Meet on the Japanese Guest House deck for your class–SOLD OUT

10 AM-2 PM Bainbridge Island Fire Department crew host a show-and-tell of their Brush Engine at the Arrival Garden

10 AM-4 PM Guided 30-minute Garden Tours with volunteers are included with any timed ticket; tour details to come; 12 people per tour maximum

10:30 AM & 11:30 AM Wendy Seanor guides Members around Mid Pond to study garden design, see unusual plants, and listen to stories about this area of the gardens. Meet at the Mid Pond at the exit from the Buxton Bird Marsh & Pollinator Meadow Trail for your tour.

12:30 PM & 1:30 PM Sequoia Jones and Danny Sackett of Bainbridge Island Fire Department guide Members through the Buxton Pollinator Meadow sharing the benefits of carefully controlled, prescribed fire to manage land.

2:30 PM & 3:30 PM John Van den Meerendonk teaches Members about the design, elements of importance, and history of the Reserve’s Japanese Garden. Meet at the Japanese Garden for your tour.

11-11:30 AM Nature themed story time in the Birch Garden with Kitsap Regional Library

11:30 AM-1 PM Moss ID Class with Gardens West Manager, Darren Strenge; Meet at the Japanese Guest House for your class–SOLD OUT

Noon-6 PM Residence opens to the public at Noon

Noon-6 PM Impressions of Nature, plein air painting exhibition indoors at the Residence

Noon-4 PM Ambassador birds with West Sound Wildlife Shelter on the Residence lawn

Noon-6 PM Food & Beverages for sale onsite on the Residence lawn by One Two Kai and Sweet Dahlia

Noon-6 PM Lawn games on the Residence lawn

4-6 PM Ranger and The Re-Arrangers music on the Residence lawn

4-6 PM Booths, lawn games, and fun activities for kids continue on the Residence lawn!
