Watercolor Landscapes with Laura Olesen-Berge
September 9 @ 1:00 pm - September 16 @ 3:00 pm
Watercolor Landscapes with Laura Olesen-Berge (A two-part class)
September 9th: Discussion – Deconstructing a watercolor painting.
The first session will include a discussion around an artist’s considerations in creating a watercolor landscape painting. There are a variety of elements and skills that play a role in creating a successful painting: from image choice to type of paper, from palette choices to how to fix mistakes (we all make them!), and the question of just how do you transfer a drawing onto watercolor paper? Community Creative Laura Olesen-Berge will take you through setting yourself up for success using what she has learned through practice over the years.
September 16: Workshop – Watercolor Painting
Time to put your knowledge to work! Coming prepared with brushes, paints, a landscape photo to work from and a drawing already transferred to watercolor paper. The afternoon will be spent creating under Laura’s guidance.
