Join us April 27th for family-friendly Earth Day FUN! This is a great way for the whole family to participate in land stewardship.

Earth Day Celebration, 10-2 PM:

Enjoy activities including:

  • Nature activities for kids, such as leaf rubbing and rock art
  • Lawn games
  • Guided nature walks for 3-6 year olds with Tom Strid (10:30 AM and 12:45 PM)
  • What’s the Buzz Discovery Learning walk with Ann Mackey, Certified Teacher & Horticulturist (1 PM) (Geared towards 2nd – 4th graders)
  • Purchase drip coffee, cold brew and Dude’s donuts from Pegasus Coffee
  • Purchase pizza from One Two Kai (starting at 11:30 AM)

The Nature & the Book: 2025 exhibit will also be available inside the Residence all day.

City Nature Challenge 2025, 9-12 PM:

Participants in the 2025 City Nature Challenge will observe mosses, birds, amphibians and fungi while deepening their understanding of biodiversity of Bloedel Reserve.

This is a free event but in order to participate, pre-registration is required as parking is limited.

Participants will meet outside the Hort barn. Please enter using the service road entrance off of NE West Port Madison Road as you will not be parking in our regular lot and the Reserve does not open to the public until 10 am. We will email information to you before the event with instructions on how to create your account in iNaturalist, parking instructions and more.

Plant Sale, 10-2 PM:

Find your next blooming beauties at the plant sale, featuring plants from Bloedel Reserve, Chimacum Woods, Far Reaches Farm & Salish Trees Nursery. Free saplings from the Reserve will be available as well for members and volunteers, while supplies last.

Earth Day activities are included in your admission to the Reserve. Members get in free but still need to reserve tickets to avoid entrance delays.

If you are participating in the City Nature Challenge, you do not need to reserve tickets but should fill out the form above instead.
