Christa Ebert, Uno Lady, Musician & Mixed Media Artist
In residence, October 31 – November 20

We’re excited to welcome Christa Ebert, a musician and mixed-media artist who performs as Uno Lady, as Bloedel Reserve’s next Creative Resident from October 31 to November 20, 2025.

Christa creates ethereal vocal compositions using layers of harmonies, nature sounds, and electronic tools. Her work blends sound, art, and environmental awareness to inspire connection with the natural world.

During her residency, Christa will present Arbor Aria, a multi-sensory installation that honors and collaborates with old-growth forests. By recording electronic signals from trees and translating them into musical scores, she gives voice to the forest. The project combines music, abstract film, and stop-motion visuals created with natural materials gathered sustainably from the woods where she filmed and recorded, spanning Maine, California, Colorado, and Ohio.

Uno Lady has recorded and produced nine releases. Her unique talent has been acknowledged with various awards, including residencies and fellowships with Chulitna Lodge in Alaska, The Ellis-Beauregard Foundation, Foundation House, SPACE’s Urgent Art Fund, Chateau Orquevaux, Creative Workforce Fellow, Akron Soul Train, and the Panza Foundation.

Join us on November 13 from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at the Japanese Guest House for a special performance and showing of Arbor Aria. Experience dream-like soundscapes and visuals as they bring attention to the beauty, biodiversity, and irreplaceable value of ancient forests. Reserve your tickets here.

Through her art, Uno Lady reminds us that trees are living, aware beings and that protecting them protects our shared future.
