
Adaptive Stroll & Roll Solstice Walk

Visit Bloedel Reserve during the Winter Solstice to explore the trails as the sun sets. This Accessible Solstice Walk is perfect for families with strollers and visitors with accessibility needs who prefer an easier route—it does not include stairs.
Arrive early to enjoy a cozy fire pit and sip on a warm beverage before your walk. It’s also a great time for some last-minute holiday shopping in our Gift Shop. As the walk approaches the Residence, music by Pete Wyer will be heard playing into the night air. Please read the Know Before You Go information below before booking.

Know Before You Go:
- This is a self-led walk. Please stick to the route.
- Visibility is limited during the night walk, but lighting will safely guide participants. Lanterns will be provided.
- The route is a there-and-back on paved road, approximately 0.75 miles in length. The walk will take approximately 1 hour. There are no stairs.
- Please note that the route is not ADA accessible due to a section with a 9% grade.
- There will not be trained accessibility personnel on site. If participants require personal care (toileting, feeding, transfers), they are encouraged to bring a caregiver.
- Accessible bathrooms will be available at the start/end and midway through at the Residence.
- A very limited number of Hippocampe all-terrain wheelchairs may be available for loan free of charge from the BIMPRD Gearbank.
- Primary public transportation is through Kitsap Access. Limited transportation on Bainbridge Island may be available upon request.
- If the cost of admission is prohibitive, please contact us for accommodations.

Non-Refundable Tickets
Should severe weather occur an alternate date may be made available at the Reserve’s discretion. Tickets are considered donations and are non-refundable.

Visiting Bloedel Reserve is an outdoor experience. Please dress for the weather. Bloedel Reserve is open rain or shine. In the event of closure due to inclement weather, ticket holders will be contacted on the day of the event via email and the website will reflect the most up-to-date cancellation information.
