Walking, observing, imagining, and drawing with Creative Resident Erika Lynne Hanson.

While slowly walking and pausing at various predetermined sites within Bloedel Reserve, we encourage new ways of thinking about the landscape, it’s history and our relationship to it.  The group will come together at the end of the walk for the drawing portion of the workshop. Through prompts, conversation, and playfulness we imagine various past iterations of the landscape: what and who are the past, present, and future inhabitants of this landscape?  Together we will also explore alternative forms of mark making, such as blind contour and rubbings as we sketch.
