Join her for a free online workshop to learn more about these amazing properties of lichen\, including how to identify several species of local lichens that can be used as barometers for air pollution\, and also how to sustainably collect\, prepare\, and dye with lichens. From the wilderness of Han Shan and Wang Wei\, the daily toils of Wei Ying-Wu and Stone House\, and the friendship of Li Po and Tu Fu\, we will examine how a life of solitude can inform the creative process. \nAfter focusing on the translations of these poets by Washington State’s very own Bill Porter (Red Pine)\, we will discuss how the hermit tradition and natural world can inform our own creative practice. \nDetails: \n\nRegistration for this class will close on February 15th at 8:30 PM (Pacific Time).
