SUMMARY:Erika Lynne Hanson Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Workshop with Creative Resident Erika Lynne Hanson \nMarch 19\, 1-3 PM\nLimit 20\nFree \nPlease email Amy Weber at aweber@bloedelreserve.org to register. \nWalking\, observing\, imagining\, and drawing with Creative Resident Erika Lynne Hanson. \nWhile slowly walking and pausing at various predetermined sites within Bloedel Reserve\, we encourage new ways of thinking about the landscape\, it’s history and our relationship to it.  The group will come together at the end of the walk for the drawing portion of the workshop. Through prompts\, conversation\, and playfulness we imagine various past iterations of the landscape: what and who are the past\, present\, and future inhabitants of this landscape?  Together we will also explore alternative forms of mark making\, such as blind contour and rubbings as we sketch. \nNo previous art experience needed!

SUMMARY:Pulling Prints from Nature
DESCRIPTION:Pulling Prints from Nature with Catherine Michaelis\nA Drop-In Experiential Event\nSunday\, August 29\, 12 noon to 3 PM\nAt the Sheep Sheds \nStop by the Bloedel Reserve Sheep Sheds Sunday\, August 29\, between noon and 3 PM and pull your own print from a tree round! \nCreative Resident Catherine Michaelis has prepared multiple tree round surfaces for printmaking. Try something new and take home a one-of-a-kind memento of your visit to the Reserve. \nThis event is free with admission to Bloedel Reserve.\nTimed Tickets are required for entry.
