SUMMARY:Summer Strolls Program
DESCRIPTION:Deepen Your Connection With Nature\nStrolls for Well-Being is a complimentary seasonal program at Bloedel Reserve that supports connection with nature through a series of 12 self-guided walks. \nWe invite those interested in deepening their connection to nature to join\, and no experience or special knowledge is needed. New participants receive a guidebook with instruction and inspiration for 12 distinct mindfulness-based walks through the Reserve. Each walk is built around a theme such as joy\, awareness\, or gratitude\, and the walks are designed around locations within the Reserve. \nParticipants become part of a small group that meets three times during the program\, for an orientation\, mid-point check-in\, and closing meeting. The meetings provide an opportunity to hear from others and share experiences. \nAfter the orientation meeting\, people in the program will receive a guidebook and be ready to begin. The program is designed to be self-paced\, and participants choose when and how to engage with the walks. Everyone in the program receives a complimentary 6-month membership to Bloedel Reserve\, which provides Timed Ticket entrance when booked in advance. \nSummer Strolls for Well-Being Program: June 12-August 31\, 2024 (12 weeks) \nRegistration for the Summer Strolls for Well-Being program is open now. SUMMARY:Mindfulness Meditation
DESCRIPTION:Mindfulness Meditation\n“If we surrendered to the earth’s intelligence\, we would rise up\, rooted like trees.”\n–Rainer Maria Rilke \nNature\, meditation\, and poetry…Nature provides the perfect setting for us to connect; to ourselves\, to the earth\, and to each other. Please dress comfortably and plan to meditate for 20-30 minutes\, seated in a chair. \nCost is $15 and includes admission to the Reserve.
