(We’ll be introducing something new in 2020.)  A bit of nostalgia designed to the delight the young and the young-at-heart\, this is a collection of cleverly handcrafted tiny houses\, surrounded by a miniature railroad with a working train. Here’s your chance to stop by the Residence for hot cider\, cookies\, and a look at the Holiday Village before it’s gone for good. And while you’re here\, be sure to take a stroll around the gardens and forests. There are beautiful things to see and surprise you even in winter. \n

DESCRIPTION:Due to inclement weather\, we rescheduled our December 21 Solstice Walks for Sunday\, January 12\, 2020. \nIf you had a ticket for a December 21st walk\, you are already ticketed for this event.\nIf you have questions or need to change your tickets\, please email events@bloedelreserve.org \n\nALL-AGES WALK — Sunday\, January 12\nWHEN: Check-in at 3:30 PM. Walk begins promptly at 4 PM.\nTICKETS: Adults including Bloedel members: $17 | Kids ages 6-16: $5 | Kids ages 5 and under: Free \nLIMITED AVAILABILITY\nSILENT WALK — Sunday\, January 12\nWHEN: Check-in at 5:30 PM.  Walk begins promptly at 6 PM.\nTICKETS: Adults including Bloedel members: $17 | Kids ages 6-16: $5 | Kids ages 5 and under: Free \nLIMITED AVAILABILITY\n \nCome and experience the magical stillness of the forest lit only by fairy lights on a guided nighttime walk. \nWe will host two guided walks. The 4 PM walk is geared for families and children and lasts about 45 minutes. Talking is permitted. The 6 PM walk is a silent walk and lasts about an hour. We ask that all participants refrain from talking during this stroll through the woods. \nPLEASE NOTE: \n\nAll walks begin at the Gatehouse and take place rain or shine.\nThe only light will be from lanterns provided by Bloedel.\nPlease wear proper clothing and footwear suitable for walking our bark-covered trails.\nThese guided walks are intended to be a special way to experience the beauty of Bloedel. For safety reasons\, we ask that all guests stay with the group and exercise caution when walking.\nWalks leave promptly at 4 PM and 6 PM. DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT!\nThis event is at capacity. We are no longer taking reservations. \n\nEver wonder what it’s like to be a Creative Resident at Bloedel Reserve? Here’s your chance to find out. You’ll see the Education Center\, where Creative Residents live during their stay at the Reserve. You’ll hear more about the Creative Residency program from Bloedel staff\, and you’ll meet renowned painter Kimberly Trowbridge. Kimberly is this year’s Creative Fellow and is in residence at the Reserve during the month of January.  She will give a brief presentation about her art\, her Creative Residency experiences at the Reserve\, and her upcoming show at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA).  The tour begins at the Gatehouse with a short walk to the Education Center. The tour itself is free\, but donations to support the Creative Residency Endowment are gratefully accepted.
