Tony has been creating nature-themed wood engravings for nearly 20 years. He is currently the Creative Resident at Bloedel Reserve for the month of December. Come early; seating is extremely limited.\n\n\n\nAbout the Artist\nTony is a wood engraver\, printmaker\, and photographer\, living and working in the woods of northern Wisconsin. He began making wood engravings in 2002\, studying with Jim Horton\, founder of the Wood Engravers’ Network (WEN)\, an organization promoting relief printmaking\, and in particular\, engraving upon end-grain wood. Tony is also the editor for Block & Burin\, the newsletter of WEN and serves on the organization’s leadership team. Inspired by the lakes and woodland landscape of his home state\, Tony uses wood engraving to portray the intricate detail of the natural world. Walk begins promptly at 4 PM.\nTICKETS: Adults including Bloedel members: $17 | Kids ages 6-16: $5 | Kids ages 5 and under: Free \n\nsold out \n\nSILENT WALK — POSTPONED until Saturday\, January 11\nWHEN: Check-in at 5:30 PM.  Walk begins promptly at 6 PM.\nTICKETS: Adults including Bloedel members: $17 | Kids ages 6-16: $5 | Kids ages 5 and under: Free\n \nSOLD OUT\n  \n Come and experience the magical stillness of the forest lit only by fairy lights on a guided New Year’s walk. \nWe will host two guided walks. The 4 PM walk is geared for families and children and lasts about 45 minutes. Talking is permitted. The 6 PM walk is a silent walk and lasts about an hour. We ask that all participants refrain from talking during this stroll through the woods. \nPLEASE NOTE: \n\nAll walks begin at the Gatehouse and take place rain or shine.\nThe only light will be from lanterns provided by Bloedel.\nPlease wear proper clothing and footwear suitable for walking our bark-covered trails.\nThese guided walks are intended to be a special way to experience the beauty of Bloedel. For safety reasons we ask that all guests stay with the group and exercise caution when walking.\nWalks leave promptly at 4 PM and 6 PM.
