April is Poetry Month at Bloedel
Bloedel Reserve welcomes spring with the return of inspirational, healing, and thought-provoking poetry along the trails in celebration of Poetry Month.
Bloedel will display 18 panels of poetry throughout the grounds the entire month of April. Curated by Laura Counsel, the panels prompt visitors to pause, take notice and experience the garden in a new way. Enjoy the opportunity to engage with familiar, prominent, and even a few surprising voices.
The Creative Residency at Bloedel Reserve will feature three poems written by former Residents as part of the installation. Each of the 18 poems are new to the grounds this year.
This installation is part of an island-wide celebration. We encourage you to explore offerings from BIMA, BARN, and Arts and Humanities Bainbridge, as they connect with community through poetry.
Admission to the installation is included in your membership or general garden admission fee. No reservations are required.
We thank the City of Bainbridge Island for their support.
